Illustrated book: Aldo supported by Regional Network for Cultural Diversity

“ALDO” is an illustrated book for kids under the project. The Promotion of Human Rights and Multiculturalism of the Roma Community in Western Balkans. It is part of the Regional Network for Cultural Diversity (READ).

The illustrated book is translated into English, Turkish, and Romani to reach young readers from the Western Balkan and Turkey. Aiming to share valuable lessons on human rights principles and foster a sense of community and cultural understanding. A version in audiobook will be available on the website in Romani language, which can be downloaded on smartphones or other devices. More activities are planned to take place in the upcoming weeks. For instance, the illustrated book in the English version will be published in hardcopies, while the e-book version will be available on the website for free. With the kind support of the READ, Roma Versitas Albania and Romix-Community Comics purchased basic but necessary appliances to create a cosy podcast studio. We will use the audio mixmaster equipment to produce more podcasts and compose soundtracks for animated stories in the long run. Additionally, promotion sessions in civil society organizations and partners and the graphic novel entitled: Forced Evictions from the Train Station served as an inspiration to illustrate this very version for kids.

In fact, we have already started the promotion of our work on media channels and social networks. For instance, there are two media interviews on TV SCAN and ABC news in which Xhenson Cela has spoken about the graphic novel and mentioned the shorter version for kids, ALDO.

Feel free to check his interview on TV SCAN.
